Merlin are proud of their employee owned status and the ethos that it brings to the working environment. We were therefore very happy to be asked to be part of a panel session for the EOA’s course on “How to be an Effective Employee Director or Employee Trustee”. The panel session brought together a number of people from employee owned companies to provide real world answers to the questions asked by course attendees. Topics covered included employee owner engagement, employee owner trustee roles, employee owner councils, morale, bonuses and resolving conflicts. As well as providing course members with information, it was interesting to hear how other employee owned companies differ from Merlin and identify how we could perhaps improve our own employee owner environment.
