As geoscientists, when faced with a problem, we all love to think outside the box and come up with innovative, practical solutions. Last week we needed to put a new board up on the wall, but had forgotten to bring a level. What did we reach for? A trusty compass clinometer of course to give a dip reading! It is amazing to realise just how transferrable all our geoscience skills are.
Can you think of a time when you have gone outside the box and put one of your geological tools to use in a different way? Or when you have used your geological knowledge to solve a non-geological problem?
