Friday 23rd June marks the 11th annual EO day. This annual celebration of Employee Ownership brings together companies across the EO sector. The theme of this year’s EO day is #TheEOeffect. As EO continues to grow, the aim of EO Day 2023 is to continue to spread the word and help more people understand the positive impacts Employee Ownership has on businesses and the wider community.
Next Friday, 1st July, Merlin will be celebrating 7 years of Employee Ownership. Here at Merlin, our employees are at the core of the company. We encourage each other, give advice, listen to feedback, and celebrate individuals personal and professional achievements. As a company we defined Merlin’s EO values which say a lot about #TheEOeffect for us.
As Employee Owners, we also consider the impact our business has on the wider community. To this end, Merlin is proud to have sponsored the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geopark for several years, enabling them to continue to educate the public on the geology, heritage and wildlife of our local area. They organise a three-month long GeoFest programme every summer, with various events held at organisations across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire and this year are celebrating 20 years of the GeoPark.
