Earth Day 2021 is taking place on Thursday 22nd April this year. It aims to drive thoughts and actions on important issues including global climate, plastic and pollution, science and education, people, communities, conservation and restoration.
There are many events taking place all over the world and we can all make a difference, making small changes to our lives that add up to make a huge difference. The Great Global Cleanup is one event that we can all take part in, picking up any litter we see on the streets and disposing of it correctly. Here at Merlin, we are invested in playing an active role in decarbonising the global energy system while equally recognising the importance of retaining energy reliability, resilience and affordability during the transition to greener solutions. We are actively involved with work on CCUS and are also investigating the use of geothermal solutions to help provide the energy needed for the future in a safe, sustainable way.
