Eleanor Oldham will be presenting ‘Efficient Storage Complex Characterisation and 4D Monitoring Feasibility
using Rock Physics’ at the third GSL Energy Group CCS symposium, which is running between 11-13th September.
The event can be attended in person at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, or online via Zoom.
The theme of this years conference is ‘Characterisation and monitoring of containment’ to optimise CCS field development and to demonstrate safety of CO₂ storage.
As CCS project numbers increase as part of global efforts to tackle global warming, operators and regulators need to demonstrate that all aspects of the CCS process are safe and reliable, and that the CO₂ will be stored indefinitely underground for years after injection ceases.
Talks at the symposium will be presented under two main categories; understanding the storage complex prior to project commencement/design phase and monitoring during operational phase through to long-term stewardship.
Eleanor is looking forward to connecting with new and familiar faces at this conference. If you are attending, look out for Eleanor and say hello, and don’t forget to attend her Rock Physics for CCS presentation.
