Merlin Energy Resources Ltd. was founded in 1998 by six ex-Clyde Petroleum staff members. One year later in 1999, Merlin Datawise was formed.
Since start-up Merlin has boasted a world class technical team including experts in numerous disciplines who bring together experience from operators across the globe.
We use our geoscience and data management skills across the energy sector covering both traditional hydrocarbon projects as well as energy transition workflows. We are also committed to supporting the next generation of geoscientists who will help secure low carbon energy security for the future.
Employee owned
Merlin Energy Resources Ltd. became an Employee-Owned company on the 1st of July 2016.
As employee owners, staff are actively engaged in company decisions and help determine the company’s future and strategy. Staff commitment to making Merlin a success results in a strong commitment to clients.
