We are excited to welcome three new members of staff to the Merlin team, Ben, David and Alex.
Ben is our new reservoir engineer. Ben has 10 years of experience covering reservoir engineering analysis across the energy lifecycle. He is skilled in conducting dynamic and probabilistic modelling and experienced in delivering field development and reservoir management proposals. Ben also brings CCUS knowledge to Merlin covering geomechanical-geothermal-numerical model coupling for injection forecast, integration of subsurface to surface facilities and petroleum engineering analysis for CO2 storage site development.
David is our new Graduate Geologist. A keen geologist and researcher, David will support geological and petrophysical projects including sedimentological and stratigraphic interpretation. David is in the progress of completing a PhD in sedimentology and carbon storage at Keele University and has taken a year out to work with us here at Merlin before returning to his studies part time.
Alex is our new Geoscience Assistant. He will provide support for all of our projects, including data audit and QC, project build and general technical support. Alex has recently completed his MSc in Energy Geosciences at Royal Holloway, University of London.
